TheInventory Control Clerkassists in the compilation and maintenance of records of quantity and type of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies stocked in establishment by performing the following duties under the direction of the Inventory Control Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Performs spot checks and reconcile inventory issues for both distribution and manufacturing.
Reconciles weekly frozen cycle counts performed by distribution. Assists in performing and reconciling non-frozen cycle counts for distribution and manufacturing, including organizing, facilitating, and reconciling monthly non-frozen cycle counts in production.
Assists label room with performing and reconciling weekly label room cycle counts when needed.
Maintains all files and worksheets for cycle counts. Reports to appropriate management, information regarding cycle counts on a regular basis. Participates and facilitates in the audit of cycle counts by outside agencies.
Initiates and completes production tickets for contract manufacturers (TOLL). Investigates and reconciles issues with contract manufacturers (TOLL) inventory.
Investigates, communicates, and reconciles all inbound transfer discrepancies. Assists in investigating, communicating, and reconciling all outbound transfer discrepancies.
Initiates and reconciles reports, including the weekly dock report and the weekly transfer report.
Monitors and initiates corrective measures for short dated product.
Investigates, communicates, and reconciles receiving issues.
Works with carriers to resolve freight claim disputes.
Works with QC, Production, and Receiving to write off and destroy rejected or scrapped inventory.
Facilitates through spot checks, cycle counts, lot number creation, and adjustments the rework process.
Actively participates in the continuous improvement process and facilitates the implementation of the NOW Performance System.
Complies with safety and GMP requirements.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma, or six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
A strong inventory control background with particular emphasis on cycle counts, inventory investigation, return to vendors, and scrap material is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to communicate effectively to groups of customers or employees.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and higher math functions.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Good problem solving skills required.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Moderate level of computer data entry experience required.
PIT equipment experience preferred, ability to learn to drive PIT equipment a must.
Experience with manufacturing and distribution operating systems, preferably Oracle.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to climb stairs; use hands to handle, and/or use tape dispensing gun, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to access product on floor or low shelves; and to operate a hand truck or forklift with a 24 inch step.
The employee must regularly lift, move (in some cases drag items), raise and/or place:
Up to 50 lb. boxes from 12 inches to 36 inches then to 50 inches and return to original position.
Take pallet from floor, weighing up to 55 lbs. and place onto one side, move up to 10 feet and return to original position.
Up to 55 lbs. from 5 inches off the ground up to 30 inches high; transfer from 30 inches up to 50 inches high and return to original position.
