Aerotek Manufacturing Engineer in Sparks, Nevada

Seeking a highly motivated manufacturing engineer looking for a long-term career opportunity!


This division of NSPG is in the Fabrication Shop.

  • Develop routings, work orders, bills of material in MieTrak MRP system. Responsible for data integrity and configuration control.

  • Document work instructions for fabrication equipment and processes.

  • Estimate fabrication costs and schedules in MRP, controls metrics and dashboards for production Operations.

  • Performs time studies and controls standard times in MRP.

  • Develop estimates and quotations for new customers and products.

  • Analyze SolidWorks models and CAD drawings for manufacturability and errors or omissions.

  • Determine root causes of process failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods.

  • Develop, lead, and facilitate organizational improvement initiatives such as 5S, Lean, or standardized work practices

  • Assist production manager to identify and continuously improve production processes and procedures to optimize the cost, resource and productivity.

  • Identify optimum shipping methodology for cost and product protection

  • Ability to be flexible (change priorities as-needed), hands-on, analytical and intuitive.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing or other related Engineering.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturing environment.

• Demonstrated skills in lean manufacturing, structured problem solving, and change management.

• Understanding of design and manufacturing requirements related to metal fabrication and assembly.

• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and Six-Sigma methodologies as well as Kaizen events and time and motion studies preferred.

• Advanced skill with MS Office and MRP/ERP systems preferred.
