Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sales cycle.
As part of the Oracle sales team you will direct and manage pre-sales resources throughout the sales cycle. Provides technical/functional leadership to the sales team in the development and implementation of customer applications and customer products. Participates in account planning and strategy development. May publishes technical information of specific applications and/or technical articles. Works with management to define new products. Serves as the company liaison on specific technical projects with customers.
Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations is important. Knowledge of software industry relating to all aspects of ebusiness solutions. Demonstrated leadership skills. Strong presentation skills. Ability to travel as needed. BA/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.
This is a remote/office based position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except for within the state of Colorado.

Your mission as Director, Solutions Engineering, Oracle Food & Beverage, is to lead a large geographically dispersed team of industry/product specialists and be responsible for formulating and leading Solution Engineering, Architecture including all technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers in the Americas
As a solution architect you will work with Oracle’s Customers to shape the vision and future state for next generation Food and Beverage SaaS offerings on Oracle Cloud, and develop migration strategies to move existing on premise solutions to Oracle Cloud. You will craft highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures aligned with customer business objectives, and accelerate the adoption of Oracle Cloud services. In collaboration with the North American Sales Team, you will drive revenue growth across a broad set of customers and accelerate realization of Oracle Cloud value
You will bridge the gap between business and technology – speaking the value language of business and technology at the C-level, while also maintaining deep understanding of technology, applications, industry best practices, business processes, and architectural patterns to drive IT transformation initiatives.

Technology practitioner: Maintain relevant expert level competency in cloud native, DevOps, resiliency, data & analytics, security & compliance, infrastructure optimization, or automation serving as a specialist in the primary domains of focus.

Food and Beverage, Hospitality Experience preferable but not essential
eCommerce, off premise, mobile and digital experience essential
