Anixter Project Implementation Mgmt (PIM) Manager in Reno, Nevada
Anixter is seeking a Project Implementation Manager (PIM) to provide broad support to all aspects of our Supply Chain Solutions (SCS) projects. This position requires a large amount of correspondence via email and phone. Clear and effective writing and verbal communication are essential to the success of this role. Individuals with strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop creative solutions to problems should apply.
The candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Manage other Project Implementation Managers in assigning work and developing talent
Manage successful delivery of a project(s) from the onset of a “WIN” through completion.
Communicate effectively with multiple departments connected to a project (Program Development, Sales/Customer, Project Services, Inventory Management, and Operations)
Provide technical support for warehouse(s) handling Supply Chain Services (SCS) projects.
Write detailed work instructions and other required project deliverables
Support day-to-day operations when required to troubleshoot or drive program success.
Manage Costing adjustments for kitting and value-added service offerings
Travel when required to support project activities (Estimate 10% travel)
Education and Experience
5+ years experience with warehousing and/or manufacturing operations
Previous Supply Chain Services (SCS) or manufacturing experience
Demonstrated experience at Continuous Improvement (LEAN, Six Sigma, Kaizen facilitation)
Proficient computer skills (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook)
Previous project management or manufacturing engineering experience a plus.
Previous WESCO/Anixter IT system experience a plus (WMX, Mainframe, CORE, PowerBI, Sharepoint)
Previous exposure to electrical products such as cables, connectors, breakers, switchgear and panels.
