Position Description:

The Partner Business Manager (PBM) role is an Individual Contributor and is a key enabler to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement in our large partner ecosystem. The candidate would be working with cross-functional international teams (often virtual) comprised of full-time employees. In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive results through insights, monitor transaction quality, drive partner requirements, enable partners through a community model & focus on reducing escalations.



  • Support a comprehensive Operations partner engagement model for different partner types offering aligned services that enable them to transact, launch and transform effectively

  • Capture partner feedback & requirements by process area through Voice of Partner services and data insights to drive committed roadmaps, process improvements, and close the loop with Partners

  • Gather quantitative and qualitative insights from Subsidiary stakeholders and Partners to improve processes, capabilities, programs, and/or readiness content

  • Continuous monitoring of partner effectiveness & driving targeted remediation plans

  • Use subject matter expertise to support partner readiness through our Partner Community engagement

  • Influence policy changes and optimization that allows customers & partners to do business with Microsoft easily

  • Partner with BPO and Operations Deal Managers to support critical month-end and quarter-end rhythms to ensure partner transactions are successfully processed


Basic Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field (Operations, Accounting, Finance or IT) or equivalent experience. Masters Degree desirable

  • Experience: 5-8 years of related business experience, Operations, Program, Project or Process Management

  • Fluent English. Spanish/Portuguese language is a plus

  • Must be able project manage many tasks simultaneously, working under continual deadline constraints.

  • Exceptional ability to influence without direct authority.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills & ability to build solid relationships with individuals at all levels, in multiple geographies and business functions, both internally and externally.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Partner programs and support functions.

  • Track record of breaking down silos and working with others within your team and other organizations to maximize impact.
