Position:

Department Manager, Logistics/Value-add Operations

Job Description:

Shift Time: 12:00AM-9:00AM

What You'll Be Doing:

• Manages the shipping facility department, including all supervisory headcount

• Oversees all department and overall team performance and training, providing prompt coaching or taking corrective action when necessary

• Fosters meaningful relationships with direct reports, and ensures that direct reports do the same with their teams

• Makes key staffing decisions based on forecasting and trends, partners with other building leaders daily to balance facility labor

• Works with Outbound Associate Managers to set daily/weekly/monthly/yearly department goals

• Collaborates with human resources, engineering, and IT to fulfill project system enhancement and quality enhancements

• Leads, recommends, and assigns department improvement initiatives

• Manages day-to-day departmental operations, may be asked to help oversee other departments in facility

• Ensures that departmental goals are met, including safety, service level, turnover, cost, productivity, quality, 5S, and others

What We Are Looking For:

• Experience working with Lean Sigma and 5S concepts

• 8+ years of warehouse operations and building management experience

• 3-5+ years of operation management in a distribution (picking/outbound) environment

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

• Demonstrated leadership experience with large teams

• Excellent analytical and organizational skills

• Firm understanding of root cause analysis and data-driven decision making

• Project management/process improvement experience

• Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines

• Excellent written/oral communication

• Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, exposure to MS Access)

• Knowledge of Outbound processes

• Experience managing leaders of staff

Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate:

$81,180.00 - $99,220.00

Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
