Calibration Technician

Job Description
Hamilton Company is looking for a Calibration Technician who will be under the supervision of the Manufacturing Superintendent, the Calibration Inspector is responsible for calibrating and repairing all mechanical precision measuring equipment in the Manufacturing Departments at Hamilton Company.
Other responsibilities may include:
Inventory, identify and catalog all precision measuring equipment
Set frequency intervals for calibrating equipment
Perform in-house calibration, cleaning and repair
Maintain traceability of standards to NIST
Maintain calibration documentation (recall file, history cards, computer records)
Coordinate sub-contracted calibration of Electronics and Specialty equipment to NIST traceable calibration services
Accountable for regular and consistent attendance
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Exert status in dimensional measurement capabilities
Expert status in reading blueprints
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as required to interface with other departments and company personnel in a service function.
Position requires exerting up 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
Position involves sitting most of the time
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous calibration experience in NIST traceable operation
Experienced in MILITARY/NATIONAL STANDARDS relating to calibration
