WSP is currently initiating a search for a Traffic Engineering Intern for our Las Vegas, Nevada office for Summer 2021.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support a variety of engineering tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skills
Assist in design using various types of CADD design software
Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations
Perform basic traffic design and analysis functions
Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation

Current standing as a Rising Junior, Senior or Graduate student actively enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering Undergraduate or Graduate program
Experience with basic computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
Self-motivated with strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Must have completed basic foundational courses: Intro to Engineering, Engineering Drafting Course
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Local candidates preferred. Please note that there is no relocation or housing assistance associated with this internship
Prior internship experience, leadership experience, or relevant coursework
Experience with AutoCAD or Microstation
