Amentum Security Specialist in Las Vegas, Nevada

JT4 provides engineering and technical support to multiple (https://www.jt4llc.com/ourlocations.html?linkID=TOP) western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. We develop and maintain realistic integrated test and training environments, and prepare our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and air crews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.


Provide senior level administrative security and SSO support to the unit manager and security staff.

  1. Performs the daily administrative tasks in support of the site security department.

  2. Working knowledge of DoD Manual 5205.7 Vol 1-4, with emphasis on both Security Education and Training Awareness and Information Security.

  3. Knowledge of Security/Intel Community Manuals and Instructions (ICDs, Tech Spec, DoDM 5105.21 Vol 1-3, DoDM 5200.01 Vol 1-4).

  4. Assist in facilitating security briefings for individuals/groups as required.

  5. Provides work direction to lower level department clerical/administrative personnel.

  6. Will work towards Security Fundamentals Professional Course (SFPC) through CDSE.

  7. Performs other related tasks as directed.

This position involves work typical of an office environment with no unusual hazards. There is occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds), constant sitting and use of a computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while writing, reviewing, and editing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for routine communications. Must maintain constant mental alertness. Routine travel to remote work locations may be required.


Associates Degree or equivalent military or technical school and 5 years specifically related work experience in the personnel security field, complemented by formal training such as successful completion of the Industrial Security Management Course. Must be very knowledgeable with the rules and regulations of the NISPOM pertaining to all aspects of Personnel Security. Must have working knowledge of site specific procedures and security requirements. The position requires a high degree of accuracy pertaining to all aspects of Personnel Security. Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Must be proficient operating personal computers using Microsoft Word, Excel, and graphics software, and possess data base management experience. Familiar with a mainframe computer terminal, laminating machine and professional instamatic camera. Must qualify for and maintain a government security clearance and possess a current State issued driver's license.
