Treasure Island, LLC RETAIL DISTRIBUTION CENTER MANAGER (FULL TIME) in Las Vegas, Nevada

It is the primary responsibility of the Retail Distribution Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Retail Distribution Center, maintain department staffing levels. To include but not limited to, organizing, coordinating and controlling of retail merchandise and operational functions. Responsibilities include preparation of end month financial closing and balancing inventory, formulation of Cost Reports and reconciling quarterly inventories. Leadership skillset in overseeing the retail distribution stock associates and assisting with daily administrative task. Ensures to foster a culture of teamwork participation and goal-driven work environment, training & development while abiding by all Company and Departmental practices and procedures. All duties are to be performed in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations.

Specific Job Functions:

  • Oversee daily operations of the Retail Distribution Center

  • Perform periodic audits / analysis of department performance

  • Assist the Purchasing Department with the documentation and storage of goods procured

  • Assist the team with daily inquiries and inventory reconciliations

  • Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor when interacting with staff, co-workers, senior management, and outside contractors

  • Responsible for all facets of inbound receiving, inventory control management, and store to store transfers

  • Audits all processes related inbound receiving and inventory control management

  • Maintains appropriate staffing levels to meet daily operational requirements

  • Schedules and ensures completion of (quarterly, monthly or annual) physical inventory counts

  • Responsible for Training and Development

  • Fosters a participative and goal-driven work environment characterized by teamwork, partnership and accountability for achieving goals

  • Effective coaching, motivates, develops and manages retail distribution stock associates on departmental and company policies, procedures, and job standards

  • Meets or exceed all relevant operational and financial metrics

  • Ensures Retail Distribution & Processing Center is neatly organized to run an effective operation

  • Performs all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department

  • Practices effective cost control procedures for all operating, maintenance and supply costs

  • Supports Store Operations in the destruction of salvaged merchandise

  • Supports Store Operations by ensuring DSD vendors are abiding by delivery windows and designated check in areas

  • Maintains open communication with store operations, buying, and other property departments

  • Maintains a direct open line of communication with Director of Operations on coaching & development of team members, operational opportunities/issues that may arise

  • Maintains accurate inventory and costs

  • Count and reconcile inventory in the distro center as needed

  • Assists and Train users in Stratton Warren

  • Communicate with purchasing, finance and other property departments

  • Previous warehousing experience in a managerial capacity required

  • A minimum of three years experience conducting employee counseling/progressive discipline sessions necessary

  • At least three years experience conducting employee performance evaluations required

  • Experience with financial closings regarding expense allocation,

cost of sales calculation and inventory reconciliation preferred

  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Stratton Warren System required

  • Must have a professional appearance and demeanor

  • Ability to effectively communicate in English both verbally and written forms
