The Responsible Gaming Compliance Manager manages the Responsible Gaming Program (“RG Program”) for MGM Resorts International (the “Company”), including program operations for GameSense in the various jurisdictions where the Company operates, is currently developing, or proposes to develop. This individual will act as the Company’s Responsible Gaming liaison with gaming regulatory authorities in each of the Company’s jurisdictions and periodically meet with those gaming regulators regarding responsible gaming matters. This position will oversee responsible gambling training within MGM and the self-limit/self-exclusion program operated by the company in as required by the jurisdictions where we operate.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the overall operational excellence of the GameSense program, ensuring the effective implementation of GameSense, as per the GameSense implementation plan.
Develops, initiates, maintains, and revises policies and procedures related to the RG Program, including annual review of the GameSense required training. Identifies program shortfalls and implements corrective action as appropriate. Manages day-to-day operation of the RG Program.
Collaborates with other corporate departments such as Marketing, Loyalty Marketing, Slot Operations, Casino Operations, Internal Audit, Legal, Development, Human Resources, etc. and all Company properties to direct responsible gaming efforts. Monitors, and as necessary, coordinates responsible gaming activities of other department to ensure standards are maintained and reported as necessary.
Provides reports on a regular basis and as directed or requested by government regulators, apprises members of senior management, Executive Director of Gaming Compliance and the SVP & Chief Compliance Officer on responsible gaming matters and progress of responsible gaming efforts.
Oversees the development, implementation and monitoring of responsible gaming training and awareness initiatives for employees and officers of the Company and determines requisite training requirements. Ability to conduct in-person training of responsible gaming and GameSense courses to large or small groups.
Provides support to executives in their leadership roles with the American Gaming Association (“AGA”) and the National Center on Responsible Gaming (“NCRG”) on issues relating to Responsible Gaming, and the National Council on Problem Gambling (“NCPG”) on issues relating to Problem Gambling.
Provides oversight of the company's self-limit/self-exclusion programs to ensure compliance with gaming regulatory requirements, work with staff to ensure that self-limit/self-exclusion information from regulators is processed properly, and proper training regarding self-limit/self-exclusion occurs throughout company.
Perform other job-related duties as requested.
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Two (2) years of experience in a management position in one of the following fields: responsible gaming programming, gaming industry, health services administration.
Previous experience working with a responsible gaming program and database.
Specialized knowledge of multiple functional areas including loyalty, research, analytics, marketing, operations, technology, casino, and compliance.
Proficiency with learning management systems and learning development programs.
Previous experience serving in a management capacity which includes demonstrated leadership, knowledge of and familiarity of the gaming industry in key operational areas, familiarity with all associated federal, state, local laws/regulations, and company mandated policies/practices related to responsible gaming within an organization.
Advanced business and policy writing experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Gaming licensing in various regional jurisdictions, as necessary.
