_Position Summary_ The Sunrise Children's Hospital Quality Manager, under the direction of the Vice President of Quality Management, is responsible for assuring evidenced-based standards of care for the patient population is met as required be The Joint Commission, HCA, and other regulatory agencies. The Sunrise Children's Hospital Quality Manager also is responsible for performance improvement of the women and children's service line. He/She monitors the quality performance of the women and children's program staff and physicians. The Sunrise Children's Hospital Quality Manager in conjunction with the Vice President of Quality Management provides oversight to the data collection and analysis of quality and safety as related to the women's and children's service line. He/She will function as a role model in quality methodology and the evaluation of performance data; providing guidance in new approaches to women's and children's care delivery accordingly. He/She will take on other responsibilities as determined by the Vice President of Quality Management for the women and children's programs.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
MSN or Master’s Degree preferred
Minimum of 5 years nursing experience.
Prior experience as a Quality Manager, Patient Safety Officer, or Performance Improvement/Quality Coordinator
Minimum 3 years experience with, and knowledge of women’s and children’s services strongly
Minimum of 3 recent years’ experience in Women and children’s nursing (critical care preferred).
Lab data interpretation
Basic computer and hospital informatics skills: Microsoft Office,
Familiarity with Joint Commission requirements
Familiarity with Vermont Oxford Network and the Society of Thoracic Surgeons Congenital Database
Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Nevada
Excellent customer service skills. Must be detail oriented and possess strong analytical and computer skills.
Ability to communicate with patients, physicians, and staff as appropriate. Public speaking skills. Strong networking abilities. Ability to work independently and be self-directed.
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) required within 2 years of hire.
