Position Summary: Primarily responsible to direct printing, production and mailing for work produced. To provide work direction to staff, optimizing printing and insertion operations; analyzes malfunctions and refer to appropriate resource. Track time off and plan production accordingly with the production manager.
Essential Position Responsibilities:
Regular attendance and weekend work are an essential function of this job
Execute production plan, adjusting for unexpected events (absenteeism, mechanical failures, rush orders, etc.)
Perform needed quality checks, inspections and minor mechanical adjustments to equipment when needed
Optimize production throughput and efficiencies measured by SLA?s
Prioritize and schedule workflow and personnel based on equipment capabilities and customer needs
Maintains overall computer operations workflow according to the established schedule
Analyzes machine or program malfunctions and takes corrective action based on knowledge of the equipment, production schedule and reference manual
Makes service calls on equipment and maintains logs
Works as leader of the job set-up area and instructs and trains all operators assigned to the system
Maintain, schedule and approve production employees time off request and pay hours
Monitor and enforce company rules and policies
Effectively communicate with employees, peers, third party vendors and other departments
Provide other related duties as assigned

Ability to analyze data processing issues

Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office Products
High School Diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Non-Essential skills and experience:
Preferred 1 to 3 years? supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment
Print/Insertion knowledge a plus
Reporting to this position: Production employees 3 to 10
