Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Manager, Quality Control 1, to provide objective-oriented direction and work assignment to team members utilizing management guidelines & general policies of the NG program/function located in Las Vegas, NV.
Will supervise up to 5 personnel (Quality Assurance Technicians) performing all aircraft maintenance quality assurance inspections/evaluations, maintaining all workplace safety programs, managing Aircraft Weight and Balance (W&B) Program, HAZMAT, Technical Order Distribution Office and computer and personnel Security Manager functions at remote locations.
Forecasting, scheduling, tracking, updating all scheduled and unscheduled weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual maintenance inspection actions.
Candidate will coordinate/direct the inspections of fixed and rotary wing aircraft along with Non Powered Age inspections.
Ensuring FAA maintenance requirements are met.
Recommending procedure changes to improve maintainability of aircraft and timely inspections.
POC for all off-station depot level maintenance requests Additional responsibilities to include:
Accountability to Program Manager for accomplishing duties according to Air Force and project policies, procedures, directives and regulations.
Delegating authority to accomplish duties set forth within the limits of approved policies, procedures, directives and regulations and other guidelines as approved by Program Manager.
Knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts.
Knowledge of aircraft maintenance and flying scheduling, configurations, aircraft phase management and time changes.
Knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair. Must have a basic knowledge of electrical theory.
Knowledge of state/federal OSHA requirements, HAZMAT handling, disposal and documentation, workplace safety requirements.

A minimum of an Associate's degree and 10 plus years of aircraft maintenance experience, years of experience can be used in lieu of degree
Must be W&B qualified and have extensive knowledge of the W&B program, to include creating Form Fs and a working knowledge of AWBS
Extensive knowledge of Aviation Safety; both ground and flight operations safety programs
Current TS SSBI clearance
Must be able to obtain and maintain site access
Willing to relocate to the Las Vegas, Nevada area Preferred Qualifications:
20+ years in aircraft maintenance
