MGM Resorts International Food and Sanitation Manager (Bellagio) in Las Vegas, Nevada

It is the primary responsibility of the Food and Sanitation Manager for planning, establishing and maintaining all required health, safety and environmental programs to assure the highest possible degree of safety for employees. A self-starting leader who enjoys the challenges of daily involvement with an operation and maintenance team. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices and procedures.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct the implementation and manage regulatory and Health & Safety Compliance & Training Programs, evaluates training effectiveness, tracks training compliance, and ensure all employees receive required safety training

  • Review appropriate testing and maintenance of all sanitation equipment.

  • Serve as liaison to Center of Excellence, regulatory agencies and other third parties relative to safety programs.

  • Administer property safety committee meetings per regulatory guidelines

  • Administers property observations to identify property occupational safety and health hazards, ensures property compliance of all safety violations, and work closely with OSHA, Fire Department, and Health Department on safety inspections of the property.

  • Applies Incident Command Structure when dealing with emergencies

  • Enforces all policies, and safety related codes, and applicable State, County, Federal laws and regulations.

  • Performs other job duties as necessary

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience

  • One (1) year Supervisory and/or Management experience

PREFERRED:

  • The ability to manage time between to properties.

  • Working knowledge of fire and safety related codes, State, County, Federal laws and regulations

  • Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA and NFPA regulations

  • Prior training facilitation experience of Safety related content

  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting
