Treasure Island, LLC EVS SHIFT SUPERVISOR (FULL TIME) in Las Vegas, Nevada

It is the primary responsibility of the Environmental Services Supervisor oversees the daily cleaning operations of the floor, employees, and assists the Environmental Services Shift Manager with daily administrative duties. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and company policies, practices, and procedures.

Specific Job Functions:

  • Supervises assigned operational functions within the department consistent with the strategic plan, the fiscal budget, and the company’s short term and long-term profitability objectives.

  • Supervises the delivery and measurement of guest service consistent with the company’s core service standards and brand attributes.

  • Supervises assigned staff to include: training; coaching; performance feedback, recommending and administering discipline, and scheduling

  • Creates a work environment that promotes teamwork, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction.

  • Provides ideas and suggestions for new products, services, technology and processes to ensure the property’s competitive position and in anticipation of changing customer needs within the dynamic hospitality and gaming environment.

  • Adheres to the company philosophy, complies with company policies, legal requirements and collective bargaining agreements.

  • Oversees the daily operations of the floor, employees, assists the Environmental Services Shift Manager with daily administrative duties. Assists the Environmental Services Manager in administrative functions, including but not limited to, disciplinary actions, employee counseling, training, cross training, employee evaluations.

  • Completes all projects assigned by Management in a timely and professional manner.

  • Conducts frequent inspections of all public areas, office, back-of-the-house, and Casino in order to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.

  • Completes inspection forms and reports.

  • Ensures all work is performed in accordance with the departmental procedures and safety requirements.

  • Determine times for deep cleaning in public, back of the house, casino areas and assigns duties to ensure completion of the same.

  • Schedules work force assigned to shift to ensure all sections and areas are adequately covered. Assists in the training of employees in OSHA Standards, regulations and documents and submits it to Environmental Services Manager.

  • Takes inventory of supplies and ensure necessary items are ordered. Maintains a strict key, radio equipment control using proper written records

  • Ensures equipment is working properly.

  • Prepares necessary work orders and ensures equipment is repaired and returned in a timely manner.

  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Six (6) month previous supervisor/managerial experience.

  • Six (6) months cleaning experience in health services or public service area.

  • -

Must have a working knowledge of basic cleaning equipment, able to use radios, pagers and other communication devices, working knowledge of PC software programs (MS Word, Excel, Outlook preferred).

  • Perform training and coaching, ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, may have extensive exposure to strong fumes or odors, ability to transport supplies and equipment and use it a various heights from the floor, lift 30 lbs., carry, push, and pull heavy objects approximately 10 to 30 lbs.

Must have the ability to use a stepladder, tolerate varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality, work indoors and outdoors and be exposed to environmental factors such as excessive noise, seasonal heat and cold, hard to reach and unclean work areas, cigarette smoke, and hazardous materials and equipment, physical ability to withstand prolonged walking, standing, bending, pushing, climbing and kneeling without restriction.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, in both written and oral forms.
