MGM Resorts International Art Gallery Representative (Bellagio) in Las Vegas, Nevada

It is the primary responsibility of the Gallery of Fine Art Representative to facilitate ticket sales/will call/retail services, and provide Gallery information pertaining to the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art. Additional duties include and are not exclusive to guest service, ability to provide information about MRI properties, and events, cash handling, and service recovery, while providing the highest level of customer service. All duties are to be performed in accordance with the Department/Property policies, practices, and procedures.

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

It is the primary responsibility of the Gallery of Fine Art Representative to facilitate ticket sales, will call, retail services, and provide Gallery information pertaining to the Gallery of Fine Art. Additional duties include and are not exclusive to guest service, ability to provide information about properties, events, cash handling, and service recovery, while providing the highest level of customer service.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist guest with ticket and membership sales, and properly operate ticketing system for transactions

  • Assist guest with gift shop merchandise, and properly operate retail system for transactions

  • Explain and enforce all gallery rules to visitors as well as orientate visitors to gallery exhibitions and interactive elements

  • Reconcile cash and charges from ticket sales and merchandise sales daily

  • Open or close Gallery Ticket Office

  • Collect guest information for gallery mailing lists

  • Under the direction of Gallery Manager, assist with will-call tickets, third party wholesalers, and phone sales

  • Participate in efforts to achieve membership and revenue goals as set by management

  • Under direction of Gallery Manager, engage guests with informative and professional tours of the gallery‚Äôs current exhibition and conduct school group tours of exhibition

  • Perform other job-related duties as requested

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms

  • Proficiency of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine

  • Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts

  • Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays

PREFERRED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Six (6) months of cash handling experience

  • Six (6) months of customer service experience

  • Experience working in a similar resort setting

  • Experience with MICROFLEX

  • Experience using Infogenisis POS
