We are looking for a seasoned Product Management Leader with a strong product development and DevSecOps background to join our efforts providing world-class cloud services at Oracle. SaaS Service Excellence team is leading cultural transformation within Product Development, Operations and Customer Support organizations.
As a Senior Director, Product Management for SaaS Service Excellence, you will work with product development constituents across Oracle’s lines of business to:
Identify requirements and understand their uptake processes.
Define and pursue automation and integration opportunities.
Translate new improvement opportunities into technical requirements and long term product development and operations strategy.
Streamline or re-invent processes to best support development goals.
Work closely with different LOBs to develop, maintain and execute a service excellence roadmap.
You will be working across a virtual team with differing timelines and objectives, to lead us through planning and designing technical solutions to solve the business’s problems in a very agile, fast-paced, and collaborative environment. The position relies heavily on influence to drive project deliverables.
The successful candidate must have deep engineering experience, problem-solving skills, strong business judgment, and notable experience collaborating in cross-functional teams with a focus on large corporate and enterprise customers.
We are looking for a self-starter technical leader with a proven ability to execute both strategically and tactically, and someone who is excited to take on new projects. This position requires a solid product development and DevSecOps experience, and the candidate should have a background in driving adoption of new technology among disparate teams with competing priorities. You will partner closely with peers, developers and the entire Oracle development, Operations and Support community. This position requires deep technical knowledge and hands on program leadership in managing innovative development methodology rollout across the Oracle corporate enterprise.
With your deep customer, technical and devops experience, you will shape Oracle’s SaaS brand through delivery of leading edge, trustworthy solutions.
You will work with teams across many of Oracle’s lines of business (including but not limited to SaaS, Database, Fusion Middleware, GBUs) to deliver innovative development and delivery mechanism for Oracle’s business requirements.
You will work with a virtual team to:
Identify opportunities for improvements in development and delivery processes.
Plan and direct resource schedules as well as project budgets.
Monitor the product/program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with internal customers on technical matters.
Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the product/program/project on schedule and within budget constraints
Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives.
Executive reporting in Service Health Reviews.
You will regularly interact across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. You must have the ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. You should have demonstrated leadership and people management skills, strong communication skills, analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of product development and product management. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area preferred. Prefer seven years of project management, product design or related experience.
Product Management experience over multiple release cycles or lifecycles for enterprise products or services.
Technical background in SaaS Product Development and implementing DevSecOps practices in large enterprise.
Ability to work independently, defining and managing one’s own work while still providing transparency and accountability to management and other interested parties.
Ability to work across and engage individuals and teams located across multiple geographies and or cultures.
Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and Development/Engineering individuals at all levels including the executive level.
Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building.
Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands.
Strong knowledge of implementation of DevSecOps practices for large enterprise, or a strong desire to learn and become an expert in this field.
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Manage a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.
As a Senior Director in the product development division, you will lead a team that defines product specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Envision and communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.
Directs and ensures the implementation of operational policies through subordinate managers. Interacts internally and externally with executive management, providing negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy. Functional expertise and broad company knowledge important. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development and product management. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience preferred.
