Join a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex mechanical systems. You will be a member of the Rocky Research team at Honeywell where you will be integral in creating system solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers and will work across engineering disciplines to drive growth and reach critical business milestones.

This role requires a solid understanding of engineering design & testing including knowledge in the areas of thermodynamics, heat transfer and design fundamentals including agency codes and standards, manufacturing processes, performance testing, and the design of engineering experiments are desired. SolidWorks modeling and analysis or understanding similar software is also desired.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirements analysis and decomposition

  • Systems design and integration

  • Mechanical, thermal design, packaging, testing and production oversight support.

  • Customer interaction

  • Project oversight and coordination

  • Budget/schedule responsibility

  • Travel as necessary to client sites

You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the mechanical and thermal system design, testing, and manufacturing of innovative thermal and mechanical design concepts

We Value:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering highly preferred

  • Knowledge of SolidWorks or similar CAD software

  • Knowledge of design for shock, vibration and static loads

  • Knowledge of design, testing, manufacturing and quality processes

  • Ability to design different heating/cooling systems.

  • Knowledge of ASHRAE testing standards is a plus

  • Willingness and ability to travel in support of projects

  • Leading a diverse and global team

  • Expertise in the systems development lifecycle

  • Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done

  • Making autonomous decisions

  • Industry experience in design and/or testing of new products in thermal appliances or processes.

  • Ability to adapt dictated by project changes
